President's MEssage - October 2005
It is our associationšs 75th anniversary, and this month we are hosting a gala at the Westin-Harbour Castle, not only to celebrate its rich history but also to pay homage to our past presidents. When I was elected to the senior executive, this event was already in the planning stages. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those people who put everything in motion: Denis Schembri, Christina Welton, Spencer Bailey, Kim Cameron, Jim Cameron, Laurie Walker and Norman MacGlashan. I know that this year will go quickly and expect to savour every moment. Our association is all about continuing education: next month we will be having an all-day seminar, followed by an panel discussion, on the changes to the legislation and the Unfair or Deceptive Acts or Practices regulations. It will be a most informative day, not to be missed. A thank-you to Geoff Sullivan and his committee for arranging what should be quite a day. Seating is limited, so make sure to get your registration form in early. Speaking of continuing education, please do not forget about our bursaries, which are handed out in March. There are 15 available to our members. Application forms can be obtained through our Web site. I had the pleasure of attending my home chapteršs golf tournament in Kingston, with Alan Gallagher (second vice-president), and once again it was a blast. It is always well organized and well attended. Until next month-and donšt eat too much turkey!

Respectfully,
Stephen Martin
