Happy New Year!Many resolutions have been set, both personally and professionally: I wish you success in both.
From a professional standpoint, the OIAA offers many avenues for furthering onešs education and an opportunity for networking. Let the OIAA assist you in reaching your professional goals for 2005. That could start at our Claims Show in February. Details can be found in the advertisement on page 40 of this magazine or on our Web site. I would recommend you to come out to our events and contemplate getting yourself involved on the executive. The elections in Toronto and at the chapter level are not until April, but that is only three months away. Executive members will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
The OIAA can further assist in your continuing education with financial support. The OIAA has been awarding a total of 15 bursaries across the province, in the amount of $500.00, for many years now. Full details can be found on page 39. The application can be downloaded from our Web site. The deadline for submission is in March. In July 2005, the Ontario Insurance Adjusters Association will mark its 75th year. Many plans are underway to honour this occasion. Watch for announcements regarding this celebration.
