It can be very chaotic and stressful leading up to the holidays, but what better way to release some of that stress then to join us in celebrating the spirit of the holidays at our annual Christmas Party. This evening has grown in popularity having in excess of 1400 people in past years with this year being no exception. Jim Fitzpatrick and his committee have planned a great night of food and music and is a great opportunity to wish those in the industry the best of the holidays. In keeping with spirit of giving, $10.00 of every ticket sold for the Christmas party goes towards our charity of choice, The Arthritis Society and we thank you for your support. For those suffering from a lack of hockey, our Kawartha Chapter arranged an evening at an OHL game. This was just not any regular season game, but one that has a natural rivalry within the chapter itself. The Oshawa Generals took on the Peterborough Petes. First Vice President Steve Martin and myself were in attendance and had an entertaining evening.
My visit to the London Chapter also brought something different. A move from the traditional Christmas Celebration to “Holidays in Las Vegas”. A night of casino games, Las Vegas style entertainment, and a silent auction took place with some members dressed in theme costume. Fun was had by all.
Moving ahead to 2005, Dorothy Lowry our Trade Show Chair and her committee promise Claims 2005 to be better than ever. Meet the professionals servicing the claims industry and the technologies that are being used, or take in one or more of the exceptional seminars that have been arranged all of which is FREE. The only cost is those wishing to attend the lunch with our guest speaker Jake Gold from TVs Canadian Idol. Please see the advertisement on page 38 for details on registering.
Wishing you all a very safe and happy holiday season and a prosperous new year. Cheers!
