Continuing education is essential for success and for the enhancement of professional skills in any business. For our first meeting of the membership, we have three excellent seminars for you to choose from, and an opportunity for networking will follow. Thank you to Michael Cherrie and his committee in organizing these high-quality seminars. The registration form and details of the event can be found on page 34 in this magazine. Our November meeting will be a luncheon with Mark Harrington of Torkin Manes Cohen Arbus LLP as our guest speaker. Mark will be discussing adjuster Errors and Omissions and how to avoid them. We are holding the meeting at a new venue, and details can be found in the advertisement on page 35 in this issue. If you have not visited our Web site, I recommend you do and save it as a favourite. The Web site is updated monthly, highlighting all upcoming OIAA meetings and/or seminars throughout the province. Many resourceful links are on the site, as well as details of each monthıs industry events. The site can be found at www.oiaa.com.
In the months of August and September, I had the pleasure of visiting the Hamilton, Thousand Island and Niagara Chapters. The support at each was fantastic, and each event was well organized. Thank you each for a wonderful time, and may you enjoy continued success.
Although March seems far away, it is not too early to remember that the OIAA offers 15 bursaries throughout the province, with values of $500.00. The deadline for submissions to your chapter executives is March. Details and application forms can be found on the Web site.
We look forward to seeing you at our first meeting of the year.
