PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE“The greatest mistake a man can make is to be afraid of making one” – Elbert Hubbard
As the world continually struggles to evolve, day after day new terrors strike our lives, some closer than we want. We should take a moment to consider how lucky we are and remember that we are all human. And we do make mistakes. As this holiday season gets into full swing, let’s try to remember why we are celebrating this joyous season.
Our claims adjusting industry is constantly changing, and we need to stay on top of things. Education is everyone’s responsibility. WE would like feedback from our members on what they want to see in the education arena.
In my monthly travels, I had the privilege to attend the Niagara Chapter’s “Ad-Just Celebration.” I would like to thank Ian Gallagher and his chapter for their hospitality.
Our annual Christmas Dinner is upon us, and as mentioned before, it is at a new venue this year. Please mark your calendar for Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at the Sheraton Hotel.
Our Claims 2003 Trade Show is sneaking up on us. I would like to mention that our luncheon speaker this year will be Rob Sampson, MPP. He will be discussing his private member’s Bill 166 and all its implications. We hope you can join us on Wednesday, February 5th, 2003.
As we have passed a change to our Constitution at our October meeting, our election for Executive Council will be held in April. It is time to start thinking about running for a position on the council in he various chapters, as well as two of the four seats representing Toronto. Please seek out your chapter’s nomination committee, or in Toronto, please contact Louise Rivett of your intentions.
On behalf of the entire Executive Council, I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Holiday Season.
Respectfully,
Brian Nauss, FCIP, CRM, CFEI
